Alas! The much talked about Twitter Music is finally arrived and for those who like to listen to music and avid users of Twitter this is an app for you.  Opening the app prompts you to sign in using either your paid Rdio or premium Spotify account—in other words:  no moochers. Any non-subscribers will have to satisfy themselves with iTunes previews.

There’s not much to it, according to the initial reveal, or at least not much that is surprising. Four screens help organize your music discovery and sharing: Popular, Emerging, Suggested, and #NowPlaying. Popular is what’s trending, Emerging reveals “hidden talent” though it’s not at all clear how they become unhidden Suggested gives you, well, suggestions based on whom you follow, and #NowPlaying reveals the terrible music choices the people you follow are making, in real-time.

This new app is perfect if someone is trying to discover new music and to see what your followers and the people you follow listen to. In another sense it’s just another great way to stalk other people and gain more knowledge of what they each like. This new app is available for download whether you are Android or Apple.
