This is my two weeks notice to you folks. Finals are approaching, which means some of us have about two weeks to get our lives together.
I always heard junior year was the hardest, and I am going to go ahead and have to agree with everyone that it is true. I feel that at this time in our lives, we are forced to start thinking about life after college. This isn’t like freshman year when everyone just thinks, “omg college is so awesome, I can’t wait for THREE more years of it.” Its more like, “omg I’m almost done with college, what the f*$k am I doing with my life?”
Does anyone know what they’re doing with their life, though? If you do, I would absolutely appreciate it if you gave me some pointers on how I could figure that out for myself.
Anyway, I looked up some tips for studying for finals, and these are the ones that I found to be most useful:
1. Studying outside! The weather has been getting great lately here in Portland and it is definitely becoming more bearable to sit outside and read a book. I find that going outside makes studying a bit more fun.
2. Reward yourself. The other day, I told myself I was gonna go out to get some ice cream ONLY if I finished the paper I was working on.
3. Save the easiest for last. If you get the harder work over with, it becomes really relieving and studying for the easier class is almost like a treat!
I truly wish all of you the best of luck the next two weeks. Just think, the best is yet to come once those two weeks are over…SUMMER. There is nothing like a summer in Portland.
